Welcome to CliveThePainter.com (“Company”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). By booking our services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding.
1. Definitions
- “Client”refers to the person or business requesting painting and decorating services.
- “Services” refers to all painting, decorating, preparation, and related work provided by CliveThePainter.com
- “Agreement” refers to these Terms and Conditions, including any written quotes, estimates, or contracts.
2. Quotation & Pricing
2.1 All quotes provided are valid for 30 days from the date issued.
2.2 Quotes are based on the initial inspection and may be subject to revision if additional work is required.
2.3 Prices include labour and materials unless otherwise specified.
2.4 Any additional work requested by the Client that is not included in the original quote will be charged separately.
3. Booking & Deposits
3.1 A 20% deposit is required to secure the booking.
3.2 Deposits are non-refundable if cancellation occurs within 7 days of the scheduled start date.
3.3 We reserve the right to reschedule work due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., extreme weather conditions, supply shortages).
4. Payment Terms
4.1 The remaining balance is due upon completion of the work unless otherwise agreed.
4.2 Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit/debit card, or cash.
5. Cancellation & Rescheduling
5.1 Cancellations made with less than 7 days’ notice may result in a cancellation fee.
5.2 If rescheduling is required due to unforeseen Client circumstances, we will accommodate where possible.
6. Client Responsibilities
6.1 The Client must ensure the work area is clear of personal belongings and furniture before work commences.
6.2 Any fragile or valuable items should be removed from the area to avoid accidental damage.
6.3 The Client must ensure access to the property during agreed working hours.
7. Workmanship & Materials
7.1 We use high-quality materials and professional techniques to ensure the best finish.
7.2 Any specific paint brands or colours must be confirmed before work begins.
7.3 We are not responsible for pre-existing wall damage, structural issues

8. Completion & Satisfaction Guarantee
8.1 Upon completion, the Client will have the opportunity to inspect the work and request minor touch-ups if needed.
8.2 We offer a three month workmanship guarantee for peeling, blistering, or flaking caused by poor application.
8.3 This guarantee does not cover damage due to wear and tear, damp issues, or Client modifications.
9. Liability & Insurance
9.1 We are fully insured for public liability and damage caused by our workmanship.
9.2 We are not liable for:
9.2.1 Damage due to pre-existing property conditions.
9.2.2 Accidental damage caused by third parties.
9.2.3 Delays due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., extreme weather, supply chain issues).
10. Health & Safety
10.1 Our team follows strict health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
10.2 Clients must inform us of any hazards or safety concerns at the property before work begins.
11. Force Majeure
11.1 We are not liable for delays or failure to complete work due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:
11.1.1 Severe weather
11.1.2 Supply chain disruptions
11.1.3 Illness or injury of key personnel
12. Governing Law
12.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England, United Kingdom and courts of England, United Kingdom
